Provisional Voting Figures for the ECF Council, 2024-5
2024-09-16 08:59:45
A provisional calculation of the voting number for ECF Council members in the coming year can now be inspected by Council representatives (and anyone else) using the "Vote Calculations" tab on the Council's website main menu.
Queries, corrections and complaints may be addressed to vro@englishchess.org.uk. Finalisation of voting figures is scheduled for 30 September. Corrections may still be made after this date but implementation in time for the AGM may not be possible.
Also please note that the figures shown on the provisional register for the AGM shown on the "Meeting Records" tab still uses the figures for last year while the consultation continues.
New Facility to check the Voting Allocations of Council Members
2023-09-03 18:23:21
A new facility to inspect the Calculation of Voting Entitlement for Council Members is available in the Council Database.
This enables Council representatives and officials or organisations (or indeed anyone else) to inspect the way in which voting allocations have been derived and see the rated chess events that have been taken into account as well as showing organisations that have 'donated' their rated games to particular Council Members. These figures are provisional calculations for the September 2023 to October 2024 and organisation representatives (and others) are invited to send details of errors, omissions or queries to the Voting Register Officer vro@englishchess.org.uk. We shall aim to address all issues notified to us before the date of the Annual General Meeting by that date. Please note, however, that the VRO is abroad from 12 to 26 September so replies may be delayed.
New Council Database
2021-11-02 00:00:00
This is a test version of a new database that is designed to record details of ECF Council Meetings. The public interface will include news of Council activities and a record of Council decisions.
This first edition will document the Voting Register (back-dated to 2018) and show records of card votes since that date. It may in time be extended to cover other matters of interest.
There is also a separate member facility for Council Members that will allow update of their personal details and provide an ability for Council Representatives to appoint or change proxies. During Council Meetings this area will also be used for automated electronic voting.
